Water quality has a direct effect on ice hardness and its thermal conductivity property. The more water is mineralized, the less dense will be the ice and greater will be the energy requirement from the refrigeration system.

Jet Ice offers two water treatment systems yielding a denser, faster ice. More so, chemically purer water leads to refrigeration energy savings.

De Ionization

"D.I." is a process by which mineral salts are removed from water.

• Minerals consist of positive ions (cations) and negative ions (anions)
• As water circulates through each column of the D.I. system, specially selected resins eliminate the minerals by chemical exchange.
• Advantage : Produces a "perfect for ice-making" quality of water, with minimum water wasted.
• Permanent or portable Models.

Reverse Osmosis

• "R.O." is a form of water ultra filtration.
• Water circulates through a membrane after which it is softened.
• Advantage : Simple to use; no handling of chemical products.
